Shona enjoying what she’s passionate about making: really, really amazing food.

Made with love.

With a nod to her American and British ancestry, Shona creates comfort food built around the fresh, local, and seasonal ingredients of western Washington.

Whether you’re munching on tender meat pies or working hard to keep your delicious bap sandwich to yourself, you know you’re getting the freshest ingredients at the peak of their season.

Food has been at the center of Shona’s life for as long as she can remember. Having fun in the kitchen is paramount, and she enjoys researching the roots of the dishes she shares at her café.

Working as a server and prep cook at a young age in her mother’s Mexican restaurant in Belfast, Northern Ireland, her culinary training started early.

Shona’s strong connection to her heritage shines through in everything she makes – from her delicious meat pies wrapped in flaky pastry, to the tender rolls she makes for her unique and much-sought-after baps, down to the sweet and buttery shortbread.

When you eat here, you get a bit of the old country made with the freshest local ingredients available.

Did You Know?

We receive a local CSA box from Newaukum Valley Farm seasonally, along with fresh produce from Hop Frog Farms in Onalaska, WA here at SFC, and it’s those fresh ingredients that guide our weekly menus. That means our menu changes often (sometimes daily!) - but you’ll be enjoying local and regional ingredients that are also seasonal and at their peak.

What We Do

We offer small-batch comfort foods crafted from fresh, local ingredients in an intimate boutique-like atmosphere. Come in, catch up, and leave with an armful of delicious food.

What We Don’t Do

Most often, it’s just Shona on-site making magic happen in the kitchen, so we’re unable to accommodate large-party to-go orders, and we do not currently offer catering.
